How to care for your men's qamis: washing, drying, and ironing

A well-maintained qamis lasts for years

With the right care, your MonQamisHomme qamis will retain its shape, color, and fit for years.

Washing: the 30°C rule

Machine wash your qamis at a maximum of 30°C on a delicate or wool cycle. A higher temperature risks shrinking the fabric. Use a mild detergent without bleach or harsh agents.

For white qamis, wash separately to avoid color transfer.

Drying: never in the dryer

The dryer is the enemy of premium fabric. Intense heat deforms the fibers. Lay your qamis flat or hang it on a hanger, in the shade. Our fabric dries quickly—allow 2 to 3 hours.

Ironing: the perfect technique

Iron while slightly damp, on the reverse side of the fabric, with a steam iron set to medium heat. Start with the sleeves, then the collar, then the body. Hang immediately on a hanger.

Storage

Store on a wide hanger in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. For transport, roll your qamis instead of folding it.
